Gale’s Prayer Tree – a beautiful image of prayer
If you have any prayer requests, you can email them to: prayers@galepresbyterian.com
A piece of yarn will be added to our Prayer Tree in the sanctuary for prayer requests during the season of Lent. If you have a specific colour to accompany your prayer, please include that detail.
Gale Force – Quite the Force
Our Gale Force team has completed our walk, raising money for Woolwich Community Services. Because of Covid, we did not walk as a team with other community members, (which totalled 206 walkers and 26 teams).
To date, all of the teams have raised $92,545, which was well above the goal of $60,000. Our Gale Force Team of 15, set a goal of $2,500, but as of Feb. 22, we have raised $3,945.75!
I would like to thank so many of you here at Gale for supporting this important, community fundraiser. Woolwich Community Services helps the most vulnerable citizens of Elmira and Woolwich Township, and this year, more than ever, they need our support. They have found that more families are relying on their help during this pandemic.
I would also like to thank the members of our team for participating this year, and for collecting pledges. The members were: Bill Mac Pherson, Sarah Bradshaw, Liz and Reg Samis, Kim and Jim Dendstedt, Bob and Cathy Gee, Hilke Dann, Scott Sinclair, John and Sandy Kendall, Kees Vandermey and Lee and I.
Finally, congratulations goes to Sarah Bradshaw for being our top fundraiser! Way to go, Sarah!
