July 31 Update from Gale

It’s the last Friday of July!

Here are a few things for you to know:

ONLINE SUMMER SERVICES @ GALE

Please use this link to access the prerecorded services on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/GalePresbyterian

The service will begin at 10:30 am, with a 2 minute count-down before the actual service.

We will continue our live-stream and pre-recorded services through this summer.  But you can still be involved. Would you like to help out by being a scripture reader?  This is done from your home, recording either a voice only or video to be used in an upcoming service.  Contact Rev. Scott if you would like to help out in this way.  scott.sinclair@galepresbyterian.com

Your help is needed for one of the children’s story time this summer

We are in need of pictures, taken with your own cameras, that represent any of the days of Creation.  Some examples are:  darkness, light, sky, land, lakes, trees, flowers, fields, stars, moon, sun, birds, fish, dog, cats, barn animals, a picture of yourself or your family.  These will be put together as a slide show to be used during our online worship service time (Remember it will be seen by the public).  Please email your picture(s) to melanie.dow@galepresbyterian.com by Sunday August 16.

UPDATED***FOOD TRUCKS in ELMIRA***
For the remainder of the season there will be two trucks at St. Theresa’s and two trucks at the Pentecostal Church every Friday night.   ***4:30 – 8:00 pm.  TAKE-OUT only.  Please practice physical distancing. ***

We can help Lucy
– as of this morning, $2,358,950 has been raised (with a goal of $3,000,000)

Lucy is the granddaughter of John & Sandra Kendall (members of Gale).  She was born with a rare neuromuscular disorder and requires a very expensive treatment that has yet to be approved in Canada.  Consider giving some financial support and sign the approval petition to help save this adorable little girl.

FRUIT SEASON IS HERE!
Which means Hilke will be busy filling jars again with yummy things.  Hilke’s tasty treats will be available at the church throughout the summer.  If you’re interested in picking anything up for a donation, Rev. Scott can meet you at Gale’s main doors.
