SERMON SHORT FOR FEBRUARY 23rd

WHAT ONE CAN DO

Philippians 4:1-14, John 15:1-11

The Christian church is littered with many missteps in its history of proclaiming “The Good News.” And equally prevalent are the shining of examples of saints who have truly grasped the love of God and expressed that love in tangible, courageous ways.

This Sunday we will focus on one such saint, Rev. William King. He was a Presbyterian minister who, despite much opposition, championed a settlement for escaping American slaves. His story is inspiring. He did what he could do and through that, God’s love was made real to many.
