Did you know Jesus was only thanked once by another – and he was a Samaritan?
Did you know that according to the Gospels Jesus never taught us to thank God in the Lord’s Prayer.
Did you know the only times Jesus thanked God had to do with food?
What does that do to our theology, our view of God, our consideration of the world?
Give it some thought.
We add to our Thanksgiving celebration with the HARVEST CHANCEL.
Bring things from your garden or from your kitchen cupboards – flowers, vegetables, fruit, cans – anything that you give thanks for. We’ll place these on the chancel for a glorious decoration of our thanks for our abundant blessings.
