Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community. We help by filling the baskets at the door each month. For the month of February we are collecting: Cookies, Jam and Cheez Whiz.
Crieff Hills Retreat and Conference Center warmly welcomes you to join us at 10:30am on Thursday February 26th for our Manna Day, “Breaking the Holy Huddle,” with Rev. Joel Sherbino. We will explore how to reach out into our community so that church becomes more than simply a building, but a way of life. Please call ahead to register at 1-800-884-1525. A new part-time staff position at Gale is opening up and maybe you are the perfect fit! The Program Co-ordinator will ensure we have a cohesive approach to the many programs offered in our church. The scope of the duties are wide-ranging so if you enjoy variety, collaborating with people, and demonstrating the love of Christ in your work, then this position might be for you. On Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7:30 p.m., the annual World Day of Prayer will be held. This evening of worship and fellowship will be hosted by St. Teresa of Avila Church, 19 Flamingo Drive, Elmira with the participation of area churches. The year’s service was written by the women of the Bahamas.
Equipping congregations
Gifts to Presbyterians Sharing help equip and strengthen congregations through workshops and events. In the past year, Stewards By Design helped congregations discover how stewardship connects to all aspects of a congregation’s mission and ministry. Dr. Stanley Ott’s workshops helped congregations learn basic strategies for growing disciples. PCC ministers and lay leaders attending the Ecumenical Stewardship Center’s leadership seminar explored generational differences and how they impact stewardship and philanthropy. As congregations grow and learn together, mission happens!

LENTEN COMMUNIONS TUESDAYS IN LENT – 7:00 pm The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday – February 18th this year. Lent is a season of reflection and preparation leading us to Good Friday and Easter – April 5th. Many people do special tasks, sacrifices or rituals to mark these 40 days. At Gale we will hold special mid-week communion services, each Tuesday starting on February 24th and concluding on March 31st. Beginning at 7 pm and lasting about 30 – 45 minutes, these meaningful and non-traditional communion services will be another opportunity for us to enrich our walk with God.
