I publish the Banns of Marriage between Christina Karen Alison Smith of Elmira and Bryce Andrew Siderius of Kitchener.
If any of you know cause or just impediment why these two persons should not be joined together in holy matrimony, you are to declare it.
Any person knowing of a lawful reason why this marriage may not be solemnized should inform the Rev. Sinclair before the service.
This is the first time of reading.
At the request of the Board of Managers the Session of Gale Presbyterian Church has called for a congregational meeting to be held June 17th at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss a project to install solar panels on the church and to authorize the use of trust funds for this project. All participants in the Gale ministry are invited to attend.

Pastoral Care Team
will gather on June 8th at 7:00 p.m. The focus will include a discussion about “Distinctively Christian Caring” – discovering more effective ways of using resources such as prayer and scripture as tools in caring ministry. Everyone is invited to attend. Please speak to Anne Sinclair, Sandy Wilmering or Janet Martin for more details.

The Life and Mission Team are looking for clothes hangers for a future project.   If you have any extra hangers please leave them by the grocery cart.

Kintail on the Road will be returning once again this summer to Gale Church! Mark the week Monday August 24 to Friday August 28 on your calendar and plan to have your children join us. This year’s theme is “No Matter What!”

Registration forms are now available in the church office or online.
Please drop off all completed registration forms at the church office.
Registration is open to ANYONE.
We have spots for just 10 children so sign up soon!

The Life and Mission Team will be hosting ‘preserve making days’ for in-season fruits and vegetables.   Our first event will be strawberry jam making in June.   We would ask the congregation to save their jam and tomato sauce jars for this purpose.   Please place them by the grocery cart.

SHOWERS OF HAPPINESS
Laura Kendall is getting married this summer!
John & Sandy will be travelling to Muskoka for their daughter’s wedding!
As it is difficult for Laura to get to Elmira for a “Bridal Shower” at Gale, we are instead going to send our showers of good wishes and a gift card from her friends here to her home in Vancouver.   (Gift Cards travel a little easier!)

Your contribution for Laura’s gift card can be given to Carol MacIntyre, Wendy in the church office or it can also be left
with Karen Pond at the gift card table no later than July 5th.

We are so happy to give Laura and Scott our best wishes and prayers for God’s blessings as they make this important commitment in their lives.

Building a vibrant community…

Presbyterians Sharing is helping Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre transform lives in Montreal’s Little Burgundy neighbourhood. Through empowering programs, Tyndale is helping each member of the community to have the opportunities and skills needed to realize their potential. Volunteer and former Little Burgundy resident Idil shares that Tyndale made a difference in her childhood and teen years. “Why do I volunteer at Tyndale? I do it because I strongly believe in the power of community service and because I know what it did for me and others.” A scholarship from the Centre helped Idil attend university and she has now started a Masters degree in Social Sciences and Humanities. She shares, “I can honestly say I would have never been able to do it without the support of my community.”
