Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community.
We help by filling our grocery cart each month.
For the month of December we are collecting: Crackers and Cookies.
| CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON TICKETS are now available on Sundays with the card sales or at the Church Office at the cost of $15.00 (not $14.00 as published in Gale Gatherings) each for either the 11:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m. sittings or take out. The Christmas Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, December 15th.
If you receive ‘Turkey Bucks’ receipts from Foodland and would like to donate them to the Church for the December Tuesday Luncheon please put them in the mail file of Marnee Ewasko or Dave Chalmers. |
Secret Sister Dinner UPDATE! We are getting a few names signed up for this fun evening, if you have not done so yet please do by SUNDAY NOVEMBER 29th. Cost for the evening will be $20, proceeds will go to sponsoring a family for Christmas.
If you can’t attend and have a Secret Sister from this past year, please bring a gift to the church by Sunday
December 6th. Have it clearly marked for the Secret Sister.
Gentlemen we are looking for a few men to serve the meal to the ladies at the Secret Sister Dinner.
If you are able to help the evening of December 7th from 6:30 p.m. on please speak to Melanie Dow.
Sunday Morning Offering Envelopes
Please destroy any 2015 envelopes after December 31, 2015 and ONLY use 2016 envelopes. This will ensure that your donations are credited to the proper person. 2016 envelopes are ready for pick up in the foyer.
Any donation received at the Church Office by 12 noon on Wednesday, December 30th will be recognized as a donation in the year 2015. All other donations will be credited to the year 2016.
CANADA FOODGRAINS BANK – Advent is the season to prepare our hearts and homes for the birth of the Jesus. This 1st Sunday of Advent is the Sunday of HOPE. Through the CFGB Project, HOPE is being brought to many people. We raised $7,200 through the sale of wheat, straw and cash donations. These funds will support people in need of food and aid in projects to help people become food secure.
These gifts fill lives with HOPE. God truly does provide. May they bring them joy knowing that they are not forgotten, and may each one feel surrounded by God’s LOVE.
Joan Moyer, Barry Pond and Dave Chalmers would like to thank the leaders and members of the Youth Group for their help decorating the church for this Christmas Season.
It is time to start collecting winter hats, mittens, and water proof gloves. If you are able to donate some items please bring them in by next Sunday, December 6th and place them under the Christmas tree.
We will be delivering them the week of December 6th.
Poinsettia’s and other plants will be ready for pick up on Sunday, December 6th. They will be arriving at the church on Friday, December 4th late evening, if you would like to arrange a pick up time with Melanie for that evening between 6:30-8pm.
Thank you for everyone who ordered the Wine Glass Candle Holder’s. The wine glasses will be ready for pick up Sunday, December 6th.
If you have not paid, payment is due that day.
Thank you for all who has supported the Gifts of Change Sunday School Mission Project, we are almost at our goal. We will continue to have some items out for sale this week and next week.
