Do we have a future – YES – but WHAT?

Last week’s blog invited everyone to be in on the upcoming Visioning Process for the Presbytery of Waterloo-Wellington. The Presbytery workshop is here at Gale – May 2nd. we’re all invited to attend.

We’re all invited to participate in the online dialogue leading up to the event. I posted a long submission to that blog and you can read it here:

On the right side near the top you will see # Comments. Click on that and scroll through the various postings by other people involved in the visioning process. It will give you a lot of insight into where we’re at with regards to envisioning our future.

In a nutshell – Things have changed – they’re going to keep changing. This includes the proclamation of the Gospel. That proclamation may not necessarily be The Church.

I bring this to the front of Gale’s attention. It’s not just about the Presbytery. It’s a lot about us – Gale – as well. We are in a place, now, where we must consider our own future – We’ve got a great new building. We’ve got a great new minister and a great new music director. We’ve got a lot of great new stuff – What are we going to do with it into the future. As we consider our response to the Presbytery’s questions (Last week’s blog) there will be valuable spill-over into the specifics of what can happen with us at Gale.
