Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community.
We help by filling our grocery cart each month.
For the month of December, we are collecting canned fruit, cookies and Jam. The foodbanks supply of canned fruit is very low and our help with building up the fruit reserves would be most welcome.

COMMITTEE REPORTS for the ANNUAL REPORT are due January 13th, 2017.

The Sunday School is doing a Mission Project with Gifts of Change.  The project needs $400.
The Sunday School offerings from October and November partially cover this. You can help by purchasing the crafts they have been made. See the crafts in the fellowship hall or you can donate loose change in the donation box in the foyer.  Watch the poster to see how we are doing.
Questions? Please speak to Melanie or Amy.

Any donation received at the Church Office by 12 noon on Thursday, December 29th will be recognized as a donation in the year 2016.   All other donations will be credited to the year 2017.

It is also budget time. If you or your committee have any special requests please provide them to Peter MacKenzie via pwsmackenzie@gmail.com for consideration by the Board in the 2016 budget.

Hilke Dann is taking orders for Pie Shells, package of 3 for $5.00 or Ready to Roll Pie Dough, package of 4 for $5.00.
If you are interested, please place your order at the church office. Proceeds go to the Apple Pie Fund.

How’s your eyesight? Could you use a pair of glasses? We have a large collection of reading glasses of various styles and strengths. Get a pair for $5.00 or 3 pair for $10.00. The proceeds will go to the Presbyterian World Service and Development fund and toward our commitments to Presbyterians Sharing.

Advent – A Season of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.
The Foodgrain project that Gale shares with our partners from Bethany United and Bethel Mennonite Churches has forwarded to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank $11,250.00. This represent the sale of the corn along with monetary donations.  May these funds work with God’s plans to bring a circle of Hope and Love to those who receive assistance through CFGB. Thankyou for your support.

YOU ARE INVITED to The Simple Gifts of Christmas

One of the nicest ways to celebrate Jesus birthday is with children and music and we at Gale are very blessed have them both! On Sunday December 18, during our morning worship service, the children of Gale will once again be sharing the wonderful story of Christmas in a musical pageant.  “The Simple Gifts of Christmas” is based on the ancient carol story about the gifts offered by humble animals on that Christmas long ago and the nativity passages found in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.

Our cast of over 20 children and youth began rehearsing for this big day right after Thanksgiving! They are working hard to make this a very special Christmas gift for the congregation of Gale. We are all learning that the real value of a gift is not how much it cost, but the love that comes from those who are giving it.

We hope you and your family will join us as we share this inspiring tale!
