Sharing God’s love…Antioch Community Church is a new congregation in Oakville, Ontario. Striving to build a strong
foundation in the community, they participate in many programs that reach out to people in need–families who fall below the poverty line, stressed single parents and retirees that struggle to make ends meet. Members go door to door to collect food for a local food bank and work with Kerr Street Ministries to provide hope to people living in need. A community breakfast for ninety people helped Anitoch build relationships while sharing a home-cooked meal. One member was inspired to collect donations for a second community breakfast. Antioch is a church where people can come together to serve and show God’s compassion, while reaching out in love to the community.

Each January the Session of Gale takes a Saturday away to spend time addressing issues of our ministry.
This year we wish to open our retreat up to everyone. We have arranged for a guest speaker – Rev. Tori Smit (Regional Minister for Faith Formation). Tori will be offering a morning workshop on integrating all generations in our worship and church life.

All are welcome:
DATE: Saturday, January 14th, 8:30 – 1:00
PLACE: Riversong Banquet Hall – 632 Hawkesville Rd., St. Jacobs.
COST: $15.00 – includes morning refreshment and lunch.
Please sign up in the fellowship hall by January 9th, 2017.

Following lunch, the Session will continue meeting to conduct regular Session Business. We open this meeting up to anyone who wishes to stay and assist us in making decisions about the ministry at Gale Presbyterian Church.

Please join us for this informative and inspiring day.
