We help by filling our grocery cart each month.
For the month of June, we are collecting Ketchup, mayonnaise and shampoo.
The Yellow roses are placed in the Sanctuary in loving memory of Irene Schade by her husband Ward and her family.
SHOWERS OF HAPPINESS STACY DANN (Doug & Hilke Dann’s daughter) is getting married! It is difficult for Stacy to get to Elmira for a “Bridal Shower” so we are going to send our showers of good wishes and a gift card to her home in Toronto. If you wish to donate, please see Wendy in the office or give on Sundays at our gift card counter. We will collect until July 17th.
Snack donation sheets are posted on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall. Please consider contributing to Gale’s V.B.S. outreach program by donating snack items. Sign up for the item(s) of your choice.
Gale Sunday School collected $29.50 in May which was sent to Camp Kintail North to South Fundraiser to support Children and Youth going to camp this Summer.
Next Sunday, June 26th we will be celebrating our Sunday School Graduation. Also a time to say thank you to all of the teachers and shepherds who have helped during the year. Join us after church for some cake!
Save the Date!
Sunday, September 11th is Rally Sunday.
CEC will be hosting a BBQ along with potluck of salads and desserts from the congregation.
Mark your calendars for this fun start up to the year of Sunday School and other activities in the Fall.
June 20 is World Refugee Day
Over the last year, there has been a devastating surge in the number of refugees searching for peace. After five years of bitter violence in Syria, millions of fearful residents have fled. Nisreen and Ahmad are two such people. “Our home used to be paradise,” they lament, remembering a peaceful Syria. The couple found safety in Lebanon, but struggled to afford food. Presbyterian World Service & Development is responding with Canadian Foodgrains Bank by providing food vouchers to refugees in Lebanon. The vouchers Nisreen and Ahmad received helped them purchase groceries and prepare home-cooked meals—restoring the sense of home they lost. On World Refugee Day, we pray that refugees from Syria and around the world will find safe haven.

In the next few months, Woolwich Community Services is organizing a Back Pack program to provide for less fortunate children and youth, in Woolwich and Wellesley Township. As you are well aware, Woolwich Community Services provides a variety of services to its community members.
Most families receiving our services are unable to afford the extra expenses necessary for their children to return to school in September. This year we hope that every child and youth will go back to school eager to learn along with a full backpack and a smile on their face.
There is a need to fill 175 backpacks with “supplies required” for school this fall. Our philosophy is “Together Making Difference”. With your support, we will make a difference.
For more information, see Wendy in the office or speak to someone on our Life and Mission Team.
