Healing and building peace
Hummingbird Ministries, located in the lower mainland of British Columbia, is a healing ministry and a ministry of peace-building between First Nations, churches, and Canadians. It offers a children’s arts program, a healing circle, workshops, a gourmet cooking class, and much more. A recent workshop for women on self-image, dreams and compassionate communications provided teaching tools to help participants rise above negative situations. The workshop was led by a college instructor, who, through discussion, became aware of First Nations realities in Canada. As relationships are strengthened, healing is happening and historical, cultural, spiritual and social gaps are closing. Your gifts to Presbyterians Sharing are helping Hummingbird reach out with the healing love of God.
