Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community. We help by filling our grocery cart each month. For the month of November we are collecting:   Kleenex and Shampoo            

 

Gale Presbyterian Church Building Fund has received a bequest from the estate of Viola Martin.
Viola was an enthusiastic support of our building project.   She is fondly remember for her faithful presence and her active participation in the Gale community.
Should you wish to convey thanks, her two nieces, Kathleen Snyder and Brenda Hallman were the executors.

 

CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON TICKETS are now available on Sunday’s with the card sales or at the Church Office at the cost of $15.00 each for either the 11:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m. sittings or take out.
The Christmas Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, December 15th.

 

If you receive ‘Turkey Bucks’ receipts from Foodland and would like to donate them to the Church for the December Tuesday Luncheon please put them in the mail file of Marnee Ewasko or Dave Chalmers.
Your donation is greatly appreciated.

 

FREE STORE:  There will be another ‘Free Store’ at Gale on Saturday, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  There will be clothing for all ages and also some bedding.
The men’s breakfast group will meet at 9:00 a.m. to set things up.
Please let people know about this event.

 

MARK YOUR CALENDAR LADIES…
Our Secret Sister Dinner will be held on Monday, December 7th at 6:30 pm at the church. Please sign up on the sheet in the fellowship hall if you plan on attending. If you did not attend last year and would like to come this year please sign up as well. This evening is for any women 14 years and older. If you don’t want to continue having a Secret Sister for 2016 that is okay, please join us for the meal still. More details to follow.

The youth group are selling Poinsettia’s, Cyclamen and Amaryllis again these next few weeks. Order forms are out before and after church. All orders are due TODAY. Please give completed orders and payment to Melanie Dow. Delivery date will be in early December.

On Saturday November 21, 2015 the Elmira Kiwanis Club will conduct its Annual Food Drive for Woolwich Community Services starting at 9:00 am.
The food collected supplies most of the food used in the Christmas Good-will hampers.
If convenient, it would be appreciated if you would leave non-perishable food items on your porch in a bag or box marked “for the Kiwanis Food Drive.”

 

Anniversary Sunday will be celebrated on Sunday, November 22 with Rev. Karen Horst, Moderator of the 141st General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.
Café Church style of worship with lots of music & open discussion with our guest speaker.

 

 

Sunday School Mission Project.
For October and November we are putting our Sunday School offering to the Gifts of Change Program from The Presbyterian Church Office.
We are raising money for particular items, and you could help!

Book your CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON BUFFET at Crieff Hills Conference and Retreat Centre.  Buffets are served on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 am and 12:45 pm from December 8 to December 17,th as well as on Friday, December 18th.   Bring family and friends for a delicious hot buffet meal in a historic 1874 School House in Puslinch, just south of Guelph. Cost is $17 (HST included).  Reservations required!
