Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community.
We help by filling our grocery cart each month.
For the month of December, we are collecting canned fruit, cookies and Jam.
The Sunday School Superintendents have been busy crafting. Be sure to check out the table in the fellowship hall for some Christmas gifts and decorations for purchasing.
CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON TICKETS are now available on Sundays with the card sales or at the Church Office at the cost of $15.00 each for either the 11:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m. sittings or take out.
The Christmas Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, December 20th.
Joan Moyer, Barry Pond and Dave Chalmers would like to thank the leaders and members of the Youth Group for their help decorating the church for this Christmas Season.
It is time to start collecting winter hats, mittens, and waterproof gloves. If you are able to donate some items please bring them in by Sunday, December 11th and place them under the Christmas tree.
You are invited to the ANNUAL COMMUNITY CAROL SING, an evening of Advent and Christmas Music presented by Elmira area churches on Sunday, December 4that 7 p.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 19 Flamingo Drive, Elmira. Admission is free and there will be a free-will offering in support of the Woolwich Counseling Centre. Following the concert, you are invited to the church hall for a reception. Everyone welcome!
Poinsettia’s and other plants will be ready for pick up on Sunday, December 4th. Please make arrangements to have your order picked up.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR LADIES… Our Secret Sister Dinner will be held on Monday, December 5th at 6:30 pm at the church. Please sign up on the sheet in the fellowship hall if you plan on attending. If you did not attend last year and would like to come this year, please sign up as well. This evening is for any women 14 years and older. If you don’t want to continue having a Secret Sister for 2017 that is okay, please join us for the meal still. More details to follow.

We have a large collection of reading glasses of various styles and strengths. Get a pair for $5.00 or 3 pair for $10.00. The proceeds will go to the Presbyterian World Service and Development fund and toward our commitments to Presbyterians Sharing.

ST. TERESA OF AVILA CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISING DINNER is on Friday, December 2nd at St. Teresa of Avila Church Hall, 19 Flamingo Drive, Elmira. The meal will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be ordered through the Parish Office Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. by calling 519-669-3387. Ticket prices are: adults $16.00; children 6-12 years $8.00 and children 5 & under are free. There will be a limited number of tickets available. Those who have purchased take-out tickets can pick their meals up at 5:30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to purchase tickets on gift baskets! Last chance to purchase tickets is Wednesday, November 30th. All are welcome! Don’t miss out on this delicious Christmas dinner. Funds raised for this event will go towards the new roof.
