Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community. We help by filling our grocery cart each month. For the month of October we are collecting: fruit juice and canned fruit.

Apple Pie time of year is HERE!
On Thurs., Nov. 12th, Fri., Nov. 13th from 6-9 p.m. and Sat., Nov. 14th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (with lunch to follow) will be Apple Pie production and clean up.   Bring a rolling pin with you and apple peelers if you have one.
Lots of jobs for everyone!   This event takes a huge number of volunteers.   Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.

Helping Hands – Friday October 30th 2015 is packing day for the Cariboo Presbyterian Church.  If you have been knitting over the summer, please bring your things to the Church and we will get them into the boxes.  Hats, mitts, scarves, socks, slippers, sweaters etc. in sizes from infant to teens are gratefully received.
Please come and join us as we pack up the knitting on Friday October 30st (9:00–11:00 am).  Thank you to all our supporters of this ministry.
Your generosity is a wonderful gift to these children.

On Saturday, November 21 the Elmira Kiwanis Club will conduct its Annual Food Drive for Woolwich Community Services starting at 9:00 am.
The food collected supplies most of the food used in the Christmas Good-will hampers.
If convenient, it would be appreciated if you would leave non-perishable food items on your porch in a bag or box marked “for the Kiwanis Food Drive.”

New at Gale and you are invited

In all the busyness of daily life would you like a time when you can sit back, relax and reflect on scripture and what it means to you? God wants us to spend time with him in quiet reflection. You are invited to take part in a 6 week class called “Christian Reflection Group” led by Rev. Scott beginning on Wed., Nov. 4 from 7-8:30 p.m. Material for this class will be taken from John Main’s video “The Practice of Christian Meditation.” There is no cost to participate in any or all of these sessions.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR LADIES… Our Secret Sister Dinner will be held on Monday, December 7th at 6:30 pm at the church. Please sign up on the sheet in the fellowship hall if you plan on attending. If you did not attend last year and would like to come this year please sign up as well. This evening is for any women 14 years and older. If you don’t want to continue having a Secret Sister for 2016 that is okay, please join us for the meal still. More details to follow.
Questions? Please speak to Melanie Dow.

The youth group will be selling Poinsettia’s, Cyclamen and Amaryllis again these next few weeks. Order forms can be found out before and after church, or ask a youth member for one! All orders MUST BE IN by SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH. Please give completed orders to Melanie Dow. Payment must be attached with order form. Delivery date will be in early December. Thanks for supporting the youth group!

INSIDE OUT
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life.
