Gale Presbyterian Church will hold a short congregational meeting following worship on Sunday, November 13th.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss minor financial matters and the proposed 2017 budget.

Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community.
We help by filling our grocery cart each month.
For the month of November, we are collecting canned fruit, meal helpers, for example: Hamburger Helper, boxed Scalloped Potatoes and Stove Top dressing.

We are currently working on the next issue of Gale Gatherings, planning to have it available for mid-November. If you have something to submit for this publication, please get it to Donna Lenz no later than November 10th. You can contact Donna by phone at (519)669-8674, by email at djhlenz15@gmail.com or by leaving a note in her mail file at church.

The funds for our Foodgrain project will be sent to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank in November.
If you wish to donate, please mark Foodgrains with the amount on the ‘other’ line of your givings envelope. Sunday,
November 6th will be the closing date.

It’s that time of year again to think about what plants you would like to order for your house during Christmas time. There are order forms on the board in the Fellowship Hall. There are Poinsettias of 3 sizes and colours, Amaryllis and Cyclamen to pick from. All money needs to be with order form. LAST DAY TO ORDER is SUNDAY NOVEMBER 13. Place orders in Melanie Dow’s mail slot. Delivery will be early December.

NOOMA is a series of short films (10 – 15 minutes each) that explore our real world in an engaging format. The presentations are Christian based and very thought provoking. We’re going to show some of the series throughout November. Each presentation will have some follow-up discussion and some take-home thought provokers. Each evening begins at 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday November 16th
Rain: Where is God when life is not good?
Wednesday November 30th
Flame: Is the word ‘love’ misunderstood?

Amy Hopper and Melanie Dow are getting their craft on again this year to support the Sunday School Christmas Challenge Fundraiser. We are needing empty Wine Bottles to use for one of the crafts. If you can donate 1 or 2 of them, please give them to Amy or Mel or place them downstairs on the desk in the Sunday School area.

On Saturday November 19th, 2016 the Elmira Kiwanis Club will conduct its annual Food Drive for Woolwich Community Services starting at 9:00 a.m.
The food collected supplies most of the food used in the Christmas Good-will hampers.
If convenient, it would be appreciated if you would leave non-perishable food items on your porch in a bag or box marked for the Kiwanis Food Drive.
