Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community.
We help by filling our grocery cart each month.
For the month of October, we are collecting condiments.
For example: ketchup, mustard, relish, pickles, mayo, salad dressings, etc.

PAGES has their first meeting of the year on Monday, September 26th starting at 7 pm. We will be meeting at the home of Vicky Hammell.

Gale Presbyterian Church has received a gift for the General Fund from the Estate of Laura Tracy.  Laura was a long time member of Gale, residing for some years at Chartwell Retirement Residence, Elmira and later at Heritage House in St. Jacobs.    If you have opportunity, please thank members of her family, Peter Musselman (her nephew) or Judie Witney (Bob) (her niece)

Thank You!   With the donations from our church and those of the community, the Woolwich Community Services was able to prepare 174 back packs to give to children to head back to school this year.

Apple Pie time of year is approaching!
Pie Crust making will be on Wed., Oct. 12th and Thurs. Oct. 13th from 6-9 p.m.
On Thurs., Oct.20th, Fri., Oct.21st from 6-9 p.m. and Sat., Oct.22nd from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (with lunch to follow) will be Apple Pie production and clean up.   Bring rolling pin with you and apple peelers if you have one.

Lots of jobs for everyone!   This event takes a huge number of volunteers.   Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.

Gale Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 150th Anniversary in 2018.

Doug Dann & Barbara Martin are coordinating a project to make it a true celebration year.

We welcome volunteers to join in the many tasks involved.

  1. Special Events
  2. History of Gale to be rewritten
  3. Promotion
  4. Worship Events
  5. Gala Events
  6. Others as defined
  7. Please contact Doug or Barb. A brain storming meeting will be held in October.

Thanksgiving Sunday-October 9th we will make a harvest explosion at the front of the church. Please plan to bring any produce from your garden or any items that express your thankfulness and decorate our church.
You are invited to take your items home after the service or you may leave them to be donated to the Elmira Food Bank.
We would also like to encourage you to invite farmers and anyone involved in the food services.

Quick Board Facts

    • As of August 16, the church has received $2,679 of an anticipated $4,200, or 64% of the anticipated revenues, from its solar panels
    • In the near future, the Board will make a presentation on its Evacuation Plan should we ever have an emergency on a Sunday morning. The Sunday School will participate in a drill. Stay Tuned!
Watch the south west corner of the church property as a “Gaga Ball Pit” will be erected for the Youth Group.  This fun game, played at Camp Kintail, will soon be coming to Gale!

Gaga Ball?  What is that? This is a fun and interactive game for any age (the children really get into it!) It’s like dodge ball but you are inside a wood-lined area.  It will be located out in the back corner of the grass field.  There is a fundraiser happening to help with the cost. We are looking for people to donate towards the Gaga Ball pit. See the poster in the foyer. A donation of $5 will build a “foot” of the pit. There are sheets to pick up to fill in with your donation.  We will write names on the poster to show how close we are in covering the cost.
Questions? Please speak to Melanie Dow.
