Hello Everyone
On Wednesday of this week Joudy age15 along with her grandmother Sahar age59 and her uncle Zaher age 45 will make the dangerous journey from Syria to Lebanon.
You are invited to a prayer vigil to be held at Gale Presbyterian Church from noon until midnight on Wednesday. This time frame is to reflect the time that they will be travelling. The prayer vigil is meant to be a come and go as best suits your time of availability. If, however, you are unable to come we would ask that you pray for them in your home.
Below is a prayer that you might like to use:
Heavenly Father I acknowledge that you are the Creator of us all, that You are above all and are worthy to be praised. I thank you for the blessings and bounty that I have received and for blessings that are yet to come. I give praise, glory and honour to You this day at this time and for always.
I ask that you will forgive me if there are things that I have said or done that is not pleasing to You and that You will guide me and lead me in my walk with You.
I ask that as You hear this prayer You will answer according to Your will. I now pray specifically for Joudy, Sahar and Zaher as they travel through a war torn land from Syria to Lebanon. I ask for protection for each of them as they encounter many security check points along the way. May their paper work be correct and may the security guards have eyes to see the good in them and may the security guards see that they are following the rules and protecal set out for travel. I pray that your Holy presence will encircle Joudy, Sahar and Zaher so that they will not be afraid, that You will give them the strength that they need to complete this journey. I pray for provision for them as they travel and most of all I pray that they will not be harmed in any way.
I ask that when their journey to Lebanon is complete that they will continue to feel Your prescence, experience Your strength and Your provision as they wait to come to Canada.
I thank you God that I have the privilege to pray for Joudy, Sahar and Zaher at this time and I pray that I will continue to do so in the days ahead. Thank You for this prayer vigil and for the opportunity to be part of it.
