LENTEN COMMUNIONS
The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday – March 1st this year. Lent is a season of reflection and preparation leading us to Good Friday and Easter – April 16th? Many people do special tasks, sacrifices or rituals to mark these 40 days. At Gale, we will hold special mid-week communion services, each Tuesday starting on March 7th and concluding on April 11th. Beginning at 7 p.m. and lasting about 30 – 45 minutes, these meaningful and non-traditional communion services will be another opportunity for us to enrich our walk with God. Come and join us on the chancel for these special services.

NOOMA is a series of short films (10 – 15 minutes each) that explore our real world in an engaging format. The presentations are Christian based and very thought provoking. Each presentation will have some follow-up discussion and some take-home thought provokers. Each evening begins at 7:00 p.m.

A Reflecting Place is a project at Gale that consists of a garden and pathway leading to it, to be located in the southeast corner of the church property. There is a scaled drawing for you to peruse, and we welcome your input.  To make this dream come reality, we ask for your financial support.  All work will be done professionally, with the goal of starting the garden this spring.  It would be cost effective if we could do both parts of the planting at one time, but we are open to doing this in stages.  There are envelopes by the guest book or you can use the Sunday morning offering envelope, mark it “A Reflecting Place”, and include your name.  All donations will be receipted.  Your comments and suggestions have been very positive and we thank you.  Look for more information as we proceed.
