How to say “Welcome to Gale”
As part of our efforts to be more welcoming to newcomers, the Board of Managers plans to designate some parking spaces, which are closer to the door, as “Visitor” spaces. Leaving these open for a late arriving visitor would be a welcoming gesture. To help toward this, we would respectfully ask those of us who arrive earlier to consider parking toward the back of the property. Not only will visitors appreciate it, but also those members who arrive late or who struggle in some manner or who have small children in tow.

NOOMA is a series of short films (10 – 15 minutes each) that explore our real world in an engaging format. The presentations are Christian based and very thought provoking. Each presentation will have some follow-up discussion and some take-home thought provokers. Each evening begins at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday February 22nd
Whirlwind: What do we do when there are no clear answers?

LENTEN COMMUNIONS

The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday – March 1st this year. Lent is a season of reflection and preparation leading us to Good Friday and Easter – April 16th? Many people do special tasks, sacrifices or rituals to mark these 40 days. At Gale, we will hold special mid-week communion services, each Tuesday starting on March 7th and concluding on April 11th. Beginning at 7 p.m. and lasting about 30 – 45 minutes, these meaningful and non-traditional communion services will be another opportunity for us to enrich our walk with God. Come and join us on the chancel for these special services.

A Reflecting Place is a project at Gale that consists of a garden and pathway leading to it, to be located in the southeast corner of the church property. There is a scaled drawing for you to peruse, and we welcome your input.  To make this dream come reality, we ask for your financial support.  All work will be done professionally, with the goal of starting the garden this spring.  It would be cost effective if we could do both parts of the planting at one time, but we are open to doing this in stages.  There are envelopes by the guest book or you can use the Sunday morning offering envelope, mark it “A Reflecting Place”, and include your name.  All donations will be receipted.  Your comments and suggestions have been very positive and we thank you.  Look for more information as we proceed.
