Woolwich Community Services provide support for the most vulnerable in our Community.
We help by filling our grocery cart each month.
For the month of October, we are collecting condiments.
For example: ketchup, mustard, relish, pickles, mayo, salad dressings, etc.

 

Any parents wishing to receive reimbursement of summer camp fees for their children should submit their original Camp Invoice to CEC no later than October 6. Parents of campers are eligible for a 60% refund of camp fees from the Gale Campership Fund.

 

THANK YOU…to the Life and Mission Team and all who helped host the First Nations Services last Sunday. Thanks to all who attended. At the Life and Mission Team meeting on Wednesday, October 19th at 7 p.m. we will be asking the question, “Now What?” Everyone is invited to attend.

 

Do you have a portable Air Conditioner the you would be willing to lend to the church to keep our picked apples cool?   If you do please contact Lee Coulman at (519)669-8217.

 

 

Apple Pie time of year is approaching!
Pie Crust making will be on Wed., Oct. 12th and Thurs. Oct. 13th from 6-9 p.m.
On Thurs., Oct.20th, Fri., Oct.21st from 6-9 p.m. and Sat., Oct.22nd from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (with lunch to follow) will be Apple Pie production and clean up.   Bring rolling pin with you and apple peelers if you have one.
Lots of jobs for everyone!   This event takes a huge number of volunteers.   Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.

 

 

Gale Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 150th Anniversary in 2018.

Doug Dann & Barbara Martin are coordinating a project to make it a true celebration year.

We welcome volunteers to join in the many tasks involved.

Thanksgiving Sunday-October 9th we will make a harvest explosion at the front of the church. Please plan to bring any produce from your garden or any items that express your thankfulness and decorate our church.
You are invited to take your items home after the service or you may leave them to be donated to the Elmira Food Bank.
We would also like to encourage you to invite farmers and anyone involved in the food services. See the insert.

 

 

 

NOOMA is a series of short films (10 – 15 minutes each) that explore our real world in an engaging format. The presentations are Christian based and very thought provoking. We’re going to show some of the series throughout November. Each presentation will have some follow-up discussion and some take-home thought provokers. Each evening begins at 7:00 p.m.

Gale Presbyterian Church has received a gift for the General Fund from the Estate of Laura Tracy.  Laura was a long time member of Gale, residing for some years at Chartwell Retirement Residence, Elmira and later at Heritage House in St. Jacobs.    If you have opportunity, please thank members of her family, Peter Musselman (her nephew) or Judie Witney (Bob) (her niece)
