We help by filling our grocery cart each month.
For the month of October, we are collecting condiments.
For example: ketchup, mustard, relish, pickles, mayo, salad dressings, etc.

At peace and home with the Lord. Ernie Walker died on October 4, 2016 in his 81st year.
The family will receive friends at the ERB & GOOD Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday October 11, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 12, at Gale Presbyterian Church at 11a.m. Interment at Parkview Cemetery (Waterloo).

Apple Pie time of year is approaching!
Pie Crust making will be on Wed., Oct. 12th and Thurs. Oct. 13th from 6-9 p.m.
On Thurs., Oct.20th, Fri., Oct.21st from 6-9 p.m. and Sat., Oct.22nd from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (with lunch to follow) will be Apple Pie production and clean up. Bring rolling pin with you and apple peelers if you have one.
Lots of jobs for everyone! This event takes a huge number of volunteers. Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.
NOOMA is a series of short films (10 – 15 minutes each) that explore our real world in an engaging format. The presentations are Christian based and very thought provoking. We’re going to show some of the series throughout November. Each presentation will have some follow-up discussion and some take-home thought provokers. Each evening begins at 7:00 p.m.

Any parents wishing to receive reimbursement of summer camp fees for their children should submit their original Camp Invoice to CEC no later than October 17. Parents of campers are eligible for a 60% refund of camp fees from the Gale Campership Fund.
Gale Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 150th Anniversary in 2018.
Doug Dann & Barbara Martin are coordinating a project to make it a true celebration year.

Reaching out to refugees in Montreal
Lama fled Syria with her three teenagers after her husband disappeared and she was badly injured in a bombing. Her sister Samira was living in Canada and asked Action Réfugiés Montréal for help. ARM filed the sponsorship paperwork and Lama was called for an interview, but proving a case is difficult, and she was refused. ARM and Samira did not give up. They worked with a lawyer and the case was overturned on a judicial appeal. Lama and her family arrived in Canada in December, 2015. Samira shares, “Thanks to the hard work, patience and generosity of ARM, my sister and her family are finally here!”
