Here is some information from Camp Kintail on how they are making this weekend away a safe place for all to attend.
Important Covid-19 Changes at Camp Kintail
Camp Kintail continues to work closely with the Huron Perth Public Health to ensure guests have a safe and comfortable experience. We continue to review the latest suggestions and guide-lines from health officials and are constantly striving to go above and beyond requirements for guest and staff safety. Here are just a few of the changes we’ve made!
* All guests are required to wear a mask in indoor spaces and when 6ft of physical distance cannot be guaranteed outdoors
* All guests have their own assigned washroom and dining spaces
* Meals are served by a Kintail staff member wearing a mask & gloves behind a plexiglass barrier
* The public washroom available at meals and other “high-touch” surfaces are regularly disinfected
Program areas have been adapted with specific Covid policies to ensure guests enjoyment and safety (for example, arrows and bows at archery are not shared and are disinfected between uses).

Vacation Bible School is coming to Gale this summer!!!
August 16 – 20, 2021
We are doing a half day (9am-12pm) program with the support of volunteers from Gale.
Our VBS will be an outside camp (weather permitting, masks will be worn by all to follow safe protocols).
The cost is $40 per child (payment will be made closer to camp week in case we are unable to proceed) and they must have completed JK to participate in the week. Spots are very limited this year to follow COVID protocols and we wanted Gale Families to have the first registration opportunity.
Registration forms will be available online shortly which would then also open up to the public. If you would like your child to attend, please email Melanie Dow asap to get your name on the list.

Donations and Volunteers
We could still use a few more volunteers if you are able to join us. Please talk to Melanie if you are interested in helping or if you have any questions.
This year we will also be looking for donations of items that are different from snacks. Keep an eye out for the list of items we are needing to support this week.

Book Puns….
* Reading is a novel idea.
* I’ve spent all day reading—it was bound to happen.
* Sorry I can’t hang out. My weekend is fully booked.
* That book about Mt. Everest had quite the cliff-hanger.
* I read a book about Teflon, but it contained no frictional characters.
* I started reading a book about anti-gravity. It’s impossible to put down.
* It was a big deal when the music teacher asked the students to read band books.
* I started reading a book about mazes—I got lost in it.
* You’ve never read Fitzgerald? You Gatsby kidding me!
* Take a page out of my book and leaf!
